Dr. Garett Kalmar was born and raised on Long Island, NY. He attended college at Indiana University where he earned a BS degree and met his wife, Jessica, a native of Columbus. He attended podiatry school at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and received his degree in 2013. In 2016, he completed a 3-year advanced foot and ankle surgical residency while in Providence, Rhode Island. He is board qualified in Foot as well as Rearfoot Reconstruction and Ankle surgery.
Dr. Kalmar feels patient care and education is a primary priority in podiatric medicine and strives to get patients back to the life they enjoyed before their foot and/or ankle ailment. He is a believer in preventative, conservative and surgical patient care.
Dr. Kalmar’s interest include bunion and hammertoe repair, sports medicine, foot and ankle pathology, conservative lower extremity management, and wound care along with diabetic limb salvage.
In his spare time, Dr. Kalmar enjoys outdoor activities, skiing, watching OSU sports and traveling.
