Dr. Isin A. Mustafa graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of Tampa in 2007. She soon after attended the Western University of Health Science’s to earn her dual degree in DPM/MSHS. As part of her studies, she conducted extensive medical research, and had her thesis on The Role of Brain Research in Improving Medical Education published in 2016. She was also heavily involved in a variety of community outreach programs serving such charitable organizations as the America Diabetes Association, among others, providing care at multiple free clinics and health fairs in the Los Angeles area. From 2016 to 2017, Dr. Mustafa was awarded the chief resident position for her outstanding patient rapport, critical thinking, and surgical skills.
Dr. Mustafa graduated with honors in 2017 with a Master of Science in Health Sciences and was in the top of her class when obtaining her Podiatric Medical degree. In 2017, she returned to her hometown of Columbus, Ohio and joined the Kaplansky Foot and Ankle Clinic.
Dr. Mustafa has extensive training in both conservative and surgical management of the foot and ankle. She is knowledgeable in the areas of diabetic limb salvage, wound care, fracture care, orthotic casting, biomechanics, podopediatrics, osteopathic manipulations of the foot, and sports medicine. Dr. Mustafa’s medical philosophy is rooted in the application of evidence-based medical care to each patient’s unique story. She works with the patient in order to provide the highest quality of care, ensuring the utmost satisfaction.
